Use a gentle skin cleanser

Stop using harsh soaps with aggressive ingredients and replace them with a mild cleanser that hydrates and soothes your skin as it cleans. To meet these requirements, SELF created the Boost of Freshness Facial Lotion, a gentle cleanser that eliminates sebum, impurities and waterproof make-up without damaging or drying out your skin barrier. The cleanser contains beneficial ingredients such as coconut oil and macadamia that have an antibacterial and ant-inflammatory effect.

Scrub your face

Afraid to exfoliate? Don’t be! When using soft products, exfoliating your skin is beneficial to treat several skin issues. Regular exfoliation will smooth and soften the skin and brighten your complexion. It also helps reduce breakouts by keeping the pores from becoming clogged with dead cells and sebum. SELF developed a gentle Facial Scrub containing rice grains, that gently removes dead skin cells and impurities. The scrub is packed with natural essential oils having a nourishing and repairing effect.

Strengthen your skin barrier

To help you tackle these annoying pimples and blackheads, we developed the Anti Acne Kit: this kit includes four full-sized facial care favorites to help you get into the habit of deep cleansing, exfoliating and hydrating.

How to use the kit.

• Facial Lotion: use the Facial Lotion in the morning and evening to cleanse your skin.
• Konjac Sponge: use the Konjac Sponge Black after cleaning your face with the Facial Lotion. Soak the sponge until fully softened and rub over your face using circular strokes.
• Facial Scrub: when suffering from acne, it’s recommended to clean- se your face 4 to 5 times a week with the Facial Scrub. In a second phase you can reduce this to a minimum of 2 to 3 times.
• Day Cream: massage the Day Cream into your face using circular strokes for all-day hydration.

For optimal effect, it’s important to use the products for at least 6 weeks. In this period your skin barrier will adapt to natural ingredients, what can possibly lead to a temporary flare-up of acne. Nevertheless, you should continue the process! Your skin will thank you!
