These are the products that you can and cannot find in my bathroom!

This is one of my most frequently asked questions. Lots of people want to know which products the owner of a skincare brand recommends and which ones she doesn’t. That is why I lined them up for you!
NEVER
- Spot treatment pads
They seem to work perfectly on short term, but don’t be fooled. These pads tend to create dryness on the spots you’ve used them on. This causes the pimples to return in the long term.
The result? You will keep on using the pads, your skin will dry out more and the pimples will keep coming back. Not a huge recommendation if you ask me!
- Eye cream
You may think that this is strange, but I have a reason for this. The skin around your eyes is very sensitive, that is why cosmetic brands have invented eye cream. But a moisturizer should never be so “aggressive” that it can irritate the skin around your eyes. When using a mild, moisturizing cream that nourishes, it is not necessary to invest in an overpriced eye cream.
- Strips to pull out blackheads
When you pull away a strip that is sticking on your nose, your pores can be stretched beyond repair. Big Pores can clog faster and will fill themselves with bacteria, dirt and sebum.
The best and most optimal treatment against acne? Always use mild and soft skincare products without chemicals and alcohol. My favorite anti-acne product is our Boost of Oxygen Facial Scrub. Definitely worth trying it!
- Cleanser with alcohol
Alcohol is used a lot in anti-acne products, unfortunately this is not so good… It triggers the production of sebum and will worsen your acne. That is why you should always make sure that alcohol is not one of the main ingredients of your skincare products!
ALWAYS
- Facial lotion
You can never go wrong with a soft cleanser! The Boost of Freshness Facial Lotion removes sebum, impurities and make-up without causing damage to your skin barrier or drying it out. ☺️
Tip: Also use a cleansing lotion in the morning to remove dirt residues. Through the night your skin recovers themselves from the day before, removing absorbed dirt that’s hidden in your pores. Give it a try, you will be amazed at how much dirt there will be on your make-up pad ;-).
- Facial scrub
I use the Boost of Oxygen Facial Scrub about 2x a week to give my skin a little boost. It removes dead skin cells and impurities in a mild way. Keep in mind that it is best to use a mild scrub, because you do not want to cause damage to your skin barrier!
The SELF Facial Scrub is filled with nourishing ingredients that restores the skin barrier and keeps your skin from getting issues like acne or having oily skin.
What are your must-have products? And which do you definitely not use?
Love,
Isabelle
