Why do I recommend you go for a natural deodorant? Because the deodorant you have in your cabinet is most likely full of perfume, alcohol, and other synthetic substances. Those chemicals dry out the sensitive skin under your armpits and make you sweat even more.

Aluminum chloride is one of the most discussed ingredients in deodorants. The ‘breast cancer hypothesis’ in particular scares a lot of women. I don’t like scaremongering. Several studies have shown that deodorants containing aluminum do not cause cancer. So, there’s no need to worry, but that doesn’t mean a chemical deodorant is good for you. Aluminum salts coat the openings of sweat glands. Once in contact with the aluminum, the sweat forms a thick gel, which clogs the pores and blocks the production of sweat.
