Staycation: unique and hidden gems in our own country
August is already here, time flies… Sometimes It creeps up on me how fast time flies! Life doesn’t take a break and in our busy society it’s all stress, stress and stress! Here at SELF we try to be more than skin care in a jar, SELF is a lifestyle. We want to encourage you to simply enjoy more and take time for yourself. Taking a holiday is the best way to escape our daily stress. We often want to go abroad but staycations are the new hype. Our country has a lot of unique locations to offer. Today I’ll be sharing some of my favorites!
#1 Nooz (Forest Lodge) in Antwerpse Kempen
In the centre of the Antwerpse Kempen you can find Nooz, one of the most unique and original private wellness concepts. This isn’t an overstatement! Durbuy might be the smallest town of Belgium, but it has the most unique spots! La Perle De Durbuy is a hidden pearl in this area. The personal touch and hospitality is what I enjoy most about a B&B. You’re not just a number! At La Perle De Durbuy you’ll be sleeping in one of five luxurious rooms with a view of the Ourthe. There is a wellness where you can enjoy the jacuzzi, Finnish sauna, hamam, infra-red and the indoor pool. The ideal starting point to discover the cozy Durbuy. #3 Vitamin Sea in Knokke
The sea.. It’s got something special! In this beautiful weather a vacation near the coast is ideal. Of course I’d love to book something unique, an experience I’ll remember for ever. Are you looking for a house by the sea? Well then look no further than Vitamin Sea in Knokke. A former fishermen’s house that has been turned, with a touch of magic, into a beautiful 4 person house located 2km from the beaches. The house itself is very spacious, modern and light plus it has a garden! Holiday vibes all over the place!
