Why facial oil takes your skincare routine to the next level
Facial oils have been trending in skincareland for a while now. A lot of SELF-lovers asked us when we would finally launch such an oil. Yet we didn’t jump on the oil bandwagon right away. Why not? Because at SELF we want to stand behind our products 100%. And developing a quality product with proven efficacy takes time. But… Drum roll… Your patience has been rewarded. Today I am proud to announce the birth of our newest SELF product: the Holy Rejuvenating Facial Oil, a facial oil based on Bakuchiol and Revinage. Liquid gold, for radiant and visibly younger skin!
Why a face oil with Bakuchiol and Revinage?
You’ve probably heard of retinol. The synthetic ingredient is used in a lot of commercial anti-aging creams. But did you know that there is also a plant-based alternative that treats aging skin just as well, without adverse effects? Revinage & Bakuchiol are the natural and safe alternatives to retinol. The natural antioxidant stimulates cell renewal, reduces wrinkles and expression lines as well as visibly evens out skin tone. Your secret weapon to gently delay skin aging.
Revinage, by the way, is not the only miracle ingredient in our vegan facial oil. It forms a golden duo with Bakuchiol, a plant extract derived from the Psoralea corylifolia plant. The powerful antioxidant helps combat free radical damage – skin dryness, pigmentation spots, inflammation…. Skin rejuvenation benefits have also been clearly demonstrated. Bakuchiol helps fade fine lines and wrinkles, boosts collagen production and skin firmness as well as making your complexion more even. It works soothing, softening and antibacterial making it a good option for those who suffer from (acne) prone skin. That a face oil by definition clogs pores is a persistent fable. Before bedtime, apply 3-5 drops to clean, dry skin. Massage the oil gently and evenly over your face. Don’t forget your neck! For an extra hydration boost, combine the face oil with our All- Night Starlight Night Cream. Mix a few drops of oil with the night cream and massage into the skin with circular motions.
