There are some products that our community can’t seem to shut up about. You kept asking, you kept emailing and messaging… and we listened. After a (slightly too long) break, it’s back: our sunscreen. And not just the same, but a new, improved formula that we’re proud to stand behind.

You may remember our old sunscreen. A best-seller, until an unexpected shortage of one of the active ingredients forced us to put it on hold. But we’re not the type of brand to just bring something back to the market. We wanted more than just a sunscreen. We wanted a Self-worthy SPF.

Why sunscreen is essential, every day

Sunscreen is not a summer accessory, it is a daily must-have. UV radiation is always there, even on cloudy days, during a winter walk or when you work inside behind your window. And that radiation is responsible for no less than 80% of skin aging: wrinkles, pigment spots and sagging. And then we have not even mentioned the risks of skin cancer.

Which sunscreens do we use?

Non-Nano Zinc Oxide | mineral sunscreen

As a mineral filter we use Non-Nano Zinc Oxide. As a UV filter, zinc oxide remains on top of the skin and works as a light reflector. This provides broad spectrum protection, which means that your skin is protected against both UVA and UVB rays.

Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazone | synthetic sun filter

A highly photostable and powerful UVB filter that provides high protection even in small doses. This filter is popular in sun products because it is effective, non-irritating and very well tolerated by the skin — even sensitive skin.

Ethylhexyl Triazone | synthetic sun filter

One of the most efficient UVB filters currently available. It absorbs UV rays very selectively and to a high degree, providing extra protection without the need for large quantities. This filter is also photostable and gentle on the skin.

Phenylbenzimidazole Sulfonic Acid | synthetic sun filter

A water-soluble filter that mainly protects against UVB radiation. It works well in combination with other filters to strengthen the protection spectrum. This filter is also mild and suitable for sensitive skin.

Simple: you apply our sunscreen as the last step of your morning routine. Cleanser, serum, day cream and then your sunscreen .

Makeup over it? No problem. Our sunscreen forms a beautiful, even base without shining.
