Children have less pigment than adults, meaning they have less natural protection against UV rays. They also burn more easily—and skin that burns at a young age often suffers the consequences for life.
That is why it is important to choose a sunscreen that:
— protects against both UVA and UVB rays,
— is gentle on the skin, without aggressive substances,
— and preferably as natural as possible.
Sunscreens can be divided into two main groups: those with mineral filters and those with chemical filters. We consciously choose the former.
Mineral filters, such as zinc oxide, form a protective layer on top of the skin and reflect sunlight. They therefore don't penetrate the skin, making them ideal for young or sensitive skin types.
