5 QUESTIONS TO... VALERIE BREMS
Five questions to... is a brand new section on the # SELF blog in which I ask five questions to inspiring women. The first woman to take the lead is Valerie Brems. The blogger behind the Mirror of Fashion blog, but also her Instagram feed is a treat with beautiful photos in which Valerie gives us a glimpse into her life full of colorful flowers, her little puppy and lots of interior and fashion inspiration!
1. Everyone is busy these days. But at Self we attach a lot of attention to me-time! Do you plan enough time for yourself and how do you arrange the puzzle of work, family and me-time?
Unfortunately far too little. When we moved into our new house a year ago, it meant that I would finally be able to enjoy a bathroom with a bath. I have now used it a maximum of 10 times ;-) Fortunately, I find a lot of satisfaction and even relaxation in my jobs; writing and attending fun events for my blog / visiting homes and making sketches for my job as an interior stylist, that still gives me energy every day.
2. Sometimes you win, sometimes you learn in life. What advice would you give to your younger self?
Pursue your dreams, don't be discouraged and dare to jump! But don't take it all - especially not yourself! - too serious. If you show that you believe in something, others will quickly do the same.
3. What is your ultimate favorite address in Belgium!

4. How are you doing with your ambition? On fleek? Which goals are at the top of your priority list in 2017?
Last year I slowly started an interior styling service with one of my best friends. That has been going surprisingly well in recent months. So you won't hear me complaining 😉
5. Oh, you meet a genie-in-a-bottle and you get three wishes. They always say that you shouldn't reveal your wishes, but let's make an exception for once. What are your three wishes?
In all honesty; I can't think of three. If everyone I love could stay healthy, I would be the richest person in the world. I wouldn't say no to a Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso watch 😉 Never to the Odea chair from Roche Bobois either 🙂
