1.Everyone is busy these days. But at Self we attach a lot of attention to me-time! Do you plan enough time for yourself and how do you arrange the puzzle of work, family and me-time?
It is not always easy to find a good balance, sometimes there are too few hours in the day. For me, working on my blog is a bit of me-time. I enjoy sitting behind my computer in the evenings after a busy day in complete silence and typing an article. I also really enjoy taking photos and it gives me a moment to just focus on that.
On vacation days I love doing fun things with my family, fun outings, trips, but also going out for a nice meal or playing a game at home.
2. Sometimes you win, sometimes you learn in life. What advice would you give to your younger self?
Don't doubt yourself too often! If you want to achieve something and have great experiences, now is the time to do it! Explore the world, something that I really need now and that I would have liked to have started earlier!
3. What is your ultimate favorite address in Belgium!
Not easy to choose. But if I really have to share my favorite address, I would go for the shop The Fallen Angels. Anyone who ever comes to Ghent should definitely visit there. It is a gift shop with a vintage vibe, a great place to browse, but especially to have a chat with Ganesha, the face behind the Fallen Angels. She ensures that everyone leaves with a smile, makes time for you and she has such a positive outlook on life that she also passes this on to her customers.
4. How are you doing with your ambition? On fleek? Which goals are at the top of your priority list in 2017?
I changed jobs last year and am still very satisfied with my decision. Furthermore, I still love working on my blog, I especially love the interaction with people and the fact that people are interested in what I have to say. Furthermore, I try not to dream too much or stress about what I would actually like to achieve, and I see what crosses my path.
5. Oh, you meet a genie-in-a-bottle and you get three wishes. They always say that you shouldn't reveal your wishes, but let's make an exception for once. What are your three wishes?
Of course I wish that my family, relatives and friends can be and remain happy and healthy. And may we experience many great moments together.
That we all enjoy the little things in life a little more, and are also a little more tolerant and have a more positive attitude.
