Making time for yourself: 100% absolutely necessary! Really and truly. And sometimes that doesn't have to be much, because as an entrepreneur, mother and wife I know that it is often difficult to keep all the balls in the air at the same time and also schedule time for yourself. But self-care will only make you better, so just do it. That's why here are: 5 tips for more self-care when you don't have much time! Fifteen minutes, that's all you need, and then you'll be fully charged again!
1. READING
Do you like to get lost in a fictional story, from romantic to an exciting thriller, or do you prefer to clear your mind with a relaxing magazine? The choice is yours, but... sit down for fifteen minutes, have a drink if necessary and continue reading that book that keeps lying on your bedside table or leaf through a magazine to spot the latest trends.
2. GO OUTSIDE
It is so incredibly beautiful outside in the fall with all those beautiful autumn colors and falling leaves. Getting some fresh air and a little exercise can't hurt. You free your mind and you put your body to work. The best of both worlds when you talk about self-care!
3. CALL A FRIEND
Whether it is your best friend or your mother or your sister or anyone else... In these busy times we are often busy with our smartphones: twitter, imessage, what's app, ... everything quickly in between. But if I really can't catch up, I prefer to do it on the phone. Just talk about what's on your mind and, above all, call someone who really makes you feel good. You'll see, after the phone call you'll feel a lot better!
4. COLOR
So much has been written about it and you see them everywhere in stores: the coloring books for adults! My daughter is great at coloring and drawing, but is it really something for myself to take up again? I don't know, but I became curious and was tempted by a coloring book for adults. Honestly? This is SO relaxing! You are so focused on coloring that you put all other worries aside and immediately forget about your to-do list. Recommended!
5. POWERNAP
And finally: the power nap. Fifteen to 20 minutes maximum is really ideal to fully recharge the batteries, especially if your night's sleep is not optimal. And without an optimal night's sleep you won't function at your best, so put your feet up, set the alarm on your smartphone and give yourself some time for a satisfying power nap. Then you can take on the world again!
