5 questions to Lize Feryn
Five questions to... is a brand new section on the # SELF blog in which I ask five questions to inspiring women. Our woman in March is Lize Feryn. Model, actress and with her more than 17,000 followers on Instagram, certainly a source of inspiration for many.
1. Everyone is busy these days. But at Self we attach a lot of attention to me-time! Do you plan enough time for yourself and how do you arrange the puzzle of work, family and me-time?
For now I only have to take myself into account. Which is currently a great luxury. With my irregular, busy life, it is often difficult to plan things, let alone put a rhythm into my days. When I don't have anything planned for a day, I flee the city and sit with my sisters in our Atelier in Deerlijk. In terms of me-time, a bath can do wonders!
2. Sometimes you win, sometimes you learn in life. What advice would you give to your younger self?
Don't take everything so seriously. I was quite a striver and (am) a perfectionist. Which often caused me to live my life with too much stress. I would say: you don't have to be the best at everything. Perfect is not always better than good.
3. What is your ultimate favorite address in Belgium?
My own house in Antwerp. It is a place completely to my taste and super cozy!
4. How are you doing with your ambition? On fleek? Which goals are at the top of your priority list in 2017?
I would like to act a lot. Although I have stopped setting expectations too high for myself. If you hope for something, I'm thinking of castings for example, you live in constant stress when things don't go as planned. But if you dare to let it go a little, something will suddenly come your way.
5. Oh, you meet a genie-in-a-bottle and you get three wishes. They always say that you shouldn't reveal your wishes, but let's make an exception for once. What are your three wishes?
1) I wish everyone I love to live a healthy life. There is nothing more frustrating than a body that resists.
2) being able to remain happy for the rest of my life over small things
3) that we will all think more as one, and then finally tackle environmental problems in an efficient manner.
