Get out of bed earlier, me-time for the morning stress
We all know it: the morning rush! Get the kids out of bed, shower, get dressed and have breakfast! And then you have to find some time in between to wash yourself, conquer that bad hair day and overcome an outfit crisis! Oh yes, and the end goal: everyone arrives at daycare, school or work neatly and on time!
And where exactly should you squeeze in some me-time? Well, I admit: it does require a small sacrifice from yourself, but it really benefits you: promise! From now on, you get out of bed first. You set your alarm earlier and take five minutes longer in the shower! This way you can turn that shower moment into a wonderful me-time moment.
Make time to wash your skin in the morning scrub and then pamper it with a lick body butter . Really enjoy the silence in the house... because everyone is still sleeping! Delicious. And that outfit crisis? You can avoid this by preparing your outfit the night before! Bye bye morning stress, hello beautiful day!

Drinking coffee without a smartphone
A break at work or at home? Grab a cup of coffee (or tea) and catch up on current affairs on your smartphone. Then another round of Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram and before you know it your break is over, your coffee is finished and you've been scrolling for minutes again...
My tip? Learn to consciously enjoy your well-deserved break and turn it into a me-time moment. Take your coffee outside for some fresh air and leave your cell phone and social media aside for a while. Bet you'll be more relaxed afterwards than if you keep scrolling?
Essential oils
Have a busy meeting soon? Or that parents' evening that you don't feel like going to at all? Yet you should not forget yourself even in those moments. I like to use some essential oils as aromatherapy. You have those handy rollerballs with oils especially for relaxing or to boost you up. I keep this stand in my handbag and in the drawer of my desk. Just roll your wrists and take some deep breaths. Works like a charm! And those deadlines or that overcrowded supermarket that you were dreading? Now you fly through it like it's nothing! Delicious!
What are your little tricks to schedule some extra me-time throughout the day?
